Residential Retreat Programmes
The youth team here at Brettargh Holt plan and present retreat programmes for young people and children (ages 5 plus), according to the requirements of the group, set out by staff, chaplains, catechists and with the help of the retreat team. Therefore no two retreat programmes are the same!
Staff booking the retreat are encouraged to discuss with the Pastoral Leader the needs of the group so that together we enable the young people to receive the best retreat experience possible.
Some of the themes the team have prepared retreats for include:
Values, Respect, Self Esteem, Image of God, Teamwork, Heroes, Journeys, Confirmation and Reconciliation Preparation, Be yourself, Identity, Reality, Happiness...
The theme is then discovered through different activities including:
Games: Icebreakers, trust games, social justice games...
Prayers: Morning and evening prayers, Salesian goodnights, Mass...
Creative Work: Drama, Dance, Mime, Art, Claywork, Crafts...
